image of Marilyn Duffey Marilyn Duffey is the President of The Duffey Company. Ms. Duffey's primary responsibilities include the development of multi-disciplinary teams and approaches applicable to a wide range of transportation and environmental studies. Ms. Duffey provides project management, quality assurance, schedule and budget oversight, client and agency coordination, and technical analysis for projects.

With over thirty years of experience in conducting studies in response to local, state, and federal environmental regulations, Ms. Duffey has provided project management and supervisory functions on all types of projects, including rail and bus transit projects, high-speed rail, bicycle and visitor shuttle transportation improvements. Recent work has emphasized mitigation monitoring for compliance with environmental conditions during construction of large scale infrastructure projects such as retrofit of the Golden Gate Bridge and construction of the underground garage in Golden Gate Park. Ms. Duffey is nationally known for her high speed rail expertise in Texas, Florida, Nevada and California. She chairs the environmental subcommittee of the Intercity Passenger Rail Committee of the Transportation Research Board (TRB).

Ms. Duffey was instrumental in assisting federal agencies in the development of guidelines for complying with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and has developed transportation indices for the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ). She has specialized in the analysis and environmental documentation of passenger rail systems in California, including Amtrak, Caltrain, Napa Valley Wine Train, and the California High Speed Rail EIR/EIS.

Ms. Duffey's recent project experience includes the DesertXpress high speed train to Las Vegas, the Golden Gate Bridge Seismic Retrofit, and the Golden Gate Park Concourse Authority Transportation Improvement Program, to name a few.
